Tuscaloosa Academy Knights SupportersDedicated to the promotion and enhancement of Tuscaloosa Academy Athletics Knights Drawdown will be held May 15! Dear Parents, Alumni and Friends: It's an honor, privilege and pleasure to serve a second year as president of the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights Supporters (TAKS). Following one of the most financially successful years in TAKS history, the board expectations for the 2007-2008 school year are high. TAKS is dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of all TA athletics by working in cooperation with the athletic department and Headmaster to provide additional funds and volunteer help. Additional funds come from TAKS membership, concession sales, advertising/sponsorship sales and fund-raising projects. TAKS membership is only $85 – and for this contribution your family gains free entry into every home sporting event (excluding state playoffs). A value of over $500! But the greatest value that comes from membership is in providing for needs to the athletic programs that the general budget cannot provide. In the last year, with your membership dollars, TAKS has been able to purchase new soccer goals, new netting for the batting cages, new sideline chains for football, new hurdles for the track team, install a softball field sprinkler system and of course, purchase new team uniforms (this is done annually on a rotating basis).
