Welcome from the Head of School
Welcome! Tuscaloosa Academy has an amazing story to share with you, and we want you to be part of it. Our school began in 1967, as a coeducational, independent school with 113 students. By June of 1973, Tuscaloosa Academy was holding its first graduation ceremony. Looking back over our history, it is evident now, more than ever, that we provide the most complete college preparatory curriculum while supporting and caring for our students.
We understand how valuable these years are to the development of your child, and we want to be a part of that. Our mission is to provide an outstanding college preparatory education while maximize your student’s academic potential. In addition, our goal as an administration and faculty is to cultivate a lifelong love of learning, emphasize character development, and help your child become ready for life after Tuscaloosa Academy. Tuscaloosa Academy is built on a strong foundation that will prepare your student for whatever opportunities and challenges they may face.
We welcome you to come visit our beautiful campus and see what our school is all about. Meet our faculty, administration and students and you will instantly feel at home as part of the Tuscaloosa Academy family. Have your student shadow one of our current students so they can see our dedicated faculty in action. Always feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We look forward to your family becoming part of our story!
