“Welcome to Alabama – Welcome to Tuscaloosa Academy.”
As Director of the German International Program at Tuscaloosa Academy, I am privileged to oversee an initiative dedicated to supporting German families during their time in Alabama. Established in 2011, the program was developed in close collaboration with Mercedes-Benz International, whose Tuscaloosa facility—founded in 1995—represents the company’s first major production plant outside of Germany.
Designed with the specific needs of expatriate families in mind, the German International Program provides a comprehensive framework that combines academic excellence with cultural integration. Our goal is to ensure that students and their families experience both continuity in education and a strong sense of community while living abroad.
